Chicago at St John's Wood Bridge Club

The predominant game at "The Wood" is cut-in Chicago.

Each Chicago a new cut for partners takes place and four hands are played. Game and slam bonuses are scored as at duplicate but part-scores carry forward from hand to hand and honours count. The vulnerability is set for each hand. On the first neither side is vulnerable, on the second and third the dealer is non-vulnerable and his opponents are vulnerable, on the final hand both sides are vulnerable.

Players can join in or leave at any time during a session and there is no need to commit to a specified number of hours.

The timetable below shows the stakes (per hundred points, rounded to the nearest 100) available for each session - although different stakes can be arranged for any time with prior notice.

The club stays open after midnight for as long as players wish to carry on.
